Castle Chastel: written sometimes for Castle. Так иногда пишут Castle (fr. chateau) Замок. слово castle, если оно стоит одно, обычно обозначает или простую башню (см. Tower), или две башни, соединённые между собой воротами. Замок с тройной башней представлен на эмблеме королевства Кастилии, и в составе герба Королевы Eleanor. The illustration is from glass still existing in Dorchester Church, Oxon.

: «Argent, a lion rampant sable, quartering gules, a castle triple-towered or» – CASTILE and LEON.
: «Gules, three castles triple-towered within the royal tressure argent» – Burgh of ABERDEEN.
: «Sable, a castle triple-towered or» – TOWERS, Bp. of Peterborough, 1639-49.

Окна и двери иногда показаны другой тинктурой, и тогда предполагается, что они закрыты, и то же самое, если они совпадают по цвету с замком, но если они – тинктуры поля , то предполагается, что они открыты open, и может быть использован термин ajouré. Термин Coulissé означает, что решётка опущена.
