Engrailed Engrélé (fr.): engrailed. зубчатый Engrailed или Ingrailed, (фр. engrélé): термин характеризует форму краёв каймы, перевязи, пояса, и т.д. в виде маленьких полукруглых выемок, зубцов или остриев, которые направлены наружу: в противовес термину invected, где зубцы направлены внутрь. Термин, как будет видно из примеров, - старый, и часто относится к бордюру, касательно крестов или косых крестов, - герольды требуют, что они не должны быть зубчатыми на своих концах. Встречается термин counter engrailed, но он редко используется. ; as when a fesse chevron or bend is blazoned engrailed , it implies that the ordinary is to be so on both sides. With French heralds the term engrelure signifies a narrow chief, so to speak, engrailed on the lower side.
