Weavers' Implements

К ткацким инструментам относятся многие разновидности, а именно: веретено (spindle), shuttle, slea, burling-iron, shears и teazel, многие из которых имеет в гербах владельцы помимо COMPANIES OF WEAVERS.

:«Azure, on a chevron argent between three leopard's heads or, each having in the mouth a shuttle of the last, as many roses gules seeded of the third barbed vert» – WEAVERS' COMPANY OF LONDON; Inc. temp. Hen. I., arms granted 1487.

:«Per saltire azure and gules, in fesse two shuttles filled paleways or; in chief a teazel; in base a pair of shears lying fessways argent; on a chief ermine a slea between two burling-irons of the third» – Company of WEAVERS, Exeter.

Фигура, называема «burling-irons» (см.) показанный с другой стороны от бёрда уже описана, и как видно взяты отдельными семьями ради обыгрывания имени.

Ткацкие ножницы (Weaver's shears), используемые при производстве ткани, обычно изображаются как на полях, и может быть найдена на памятных плитах и резных плитах в церквях как эмблему торговца (man's trade). Они несколько отличаются от ножниц в гербе TAILORS' Company of Edinburgh (см. Scissors).
