Horse-shoe подкова (фр. fer-de-cheval): конская подкова встречается как геральдическая фигура в самых ранних из имеющихся у нас гербов. Обычно в подкове шесть или восемь отверстий nail-holes, которые должны быть окрашены тинктурой в цвет поля; если у них другая тинктура, - вероятно это означает, что в них забиты гвозди nails (фр. cloué).
