Термин используемый по отношениию к ноге животного или птицы, отделёной от тела выше «среднего сустава» (ср. с отделяемой по указанному суставу или ниже него «лапой»).

В английской терминологии используется преимущественно как описание ноги птицы, по умолчанию — орла, оторванной по коленному суставу. Часто встречается в связи с определениями «couped» и «erased», хотя последнее предполагается по умолчанию.
