TRESSURE, or Treschur. The tressure passes round the field in the same shape as the shield. When impaled, it is always to be omitted on the side next the line of impalement. P, 31, f. 9. It is always borne double and flory counterflory as in the royal Arms of Scotland. This is sometimes blazoned the Royal Tressure, or the Tressure of Scotland. Геральдическая фигура, рассм. некоторвми как диминутив внутренней каймы (orle). Может быть одинарной, двойной – самый распрстранённый вариант, или, говорят и о таком, тройной (single, double, triple), fleury-counterfleury, как в гербе Шотландии (см.), благодаря чему иногда называется «royal tressure». При смыкании гербов должна следвать правилу каёмы и не распространятся на вторую половину, но исключния можно найти. Геральдическая фигура «within a tressure» должна распространяться только внутри этой каймы.

tressure: (tresh'-ur) A kind of border or hem, being, in fact, a diminutive of the orle, of which it is one-half its breadth. It passes around the field, following the shape and form of the escutcheon, whatever shape it may be;usually borne double.
