FER DE MOLINE, Mouline, Millrind, or Mill-ink. An iron affixed to the centre of the Mill-stone usually drawn as the first figure at P. 38, f. 53.
The six following are different forms of the millrind sometimes met with. (ELVN)
FERDUMOLIN. Same as Fer de moline. (ELVN)
Fer-de-moline Fer-de-moline или fer de moulin(фр.), также Ink-moline inkmoline, mill-ink, millrind, millrine, (fr. anille), согласно Гиббону, «that piece of iron that beareth and upholdeth the moving millstone.» « это деталь из железа, которая закрепляет движущийся мельничный камень.» Возможно, нет в геральдике другой такой фигуры, имеющей большее разнообразие форм, найденных в старых рисунках; так много, что эта фигура выдаётся из ряда обычных фигур в геральдике.
