Humetty укороченный, отрезанный (фр. alésé), термин, применяемый к определённым ординарным фигурам вместо couped, к любым изображениям в поле герба, особенно к животным. Применительно к fesse и bar термин означает, что оба конца отрезаны так, что не достигают краёв щита. Применительно к крестам (см. Cross, §7) и косым крестам - все четыре конца отрезаны так, что не достигают краёв щита; и если крестов больше, чем один (прямых или косых) в одном и том же гербе, они по умолчанию укороченные (отрезанные).
